Our Swallows and Amazons kids club will be starting again on Sunday 30th March 2008. The times are 1.30 - 4.00. We have kept the price the same at £12 per child. Please call to book your space! Book your space now.
Swallows and Amazons is the title of the long existing Kids Club which is every Sunday afternoon. The purpose of this club allows children from 6yrs and upwards and of any ability to meet others and explore and have fun, searching out the beaches, local estuary’s, creeks and rivers whilst learning the ways of the sea.
During the session new skills both on and off the water will be taught along-side the related games offered by our experienced instructors. The idea is to provide a fun filled introduction to sailing and if required can work through the RYA Youth Scheme to.
This is a fun session to build water confidence and safety awareness with lots of games and getting wet! The idea is to provide a fun filled introduction to sailing.
What they will need
A pair of trainers or wetsuit boots, hat + gloves (weather dependent), Suncream, a snack, lots of energy and a towel. If you have a wetsuit then you are welcome to bring it but this will be provided.
Cost for the session will be £12 per child
If you wish for them to learn the RYA Youth Scheme we recommend that you purchase an RYA Youth Scheme logbook at the cost of £2.70.
Family Sailing
The chance to learn something together! The purpose of these sessions are to enjoy new adventures together the cnache to get afloat with the safety and skill of our instructors. To build experience and relax into this beautiful environment. No prior experience is required and all ages can be catered for from baby to grandad, the whole family, to enjoy it together.
Introduction Sessions
If you have experience in one type of vessel, you may wish to try something else, be it single handed, trapezing, or spinnaker work or our keelboat. Our fleet combines many different craft big and small, so let us know if you wish to broaden you horizons.
Skippered Excursions
Maybe you just want to get afloat to relax, fish or explore any part of Carrick Roads. We can provide a skipper and appropriate craft to make it a real joyride!
So come on down to Mylor with your children and let them explore our beautiful sailing waters and take on a new challenge. Total beginners are our speciality with highly trained and experienced RYA Instructors on hand to ensure a safe, fun expererience.
All students must be confident in the water.
