Family Holidays
For families with children aged seven and over, the school can put together a complete family package centred around sailing, but leaving you with plenty of leisure time to enjoy the local beaches and other attractions. We realise that each family will have different requirements, so just contact our office with details of numbers, age and experience, and we can prepare a programme to suit all.
Holiday Courses
We offer long courses for adults and young sailors during holiday periods. These run Monday through to Friday. Learning this way in a small group is fun, a great way to start sailing and make new friends, and still gives you some spare time to experience the other attractions of a holiday here in Cornwall.
Individual Tuition
Some people may prefer learning on a one to one basis or perhaps with a friend or relative. Others may not be able to manage the time for five consecutive days, or may already be competent sailors who want to improve techniques or brush up on certain skills. With maximum ‘hands on’ experience most people learn quicker, and we have special discounts for those visiting us in the less busy periods of the year.
Groups/Companies/Schools
We offer special rates for group bookings from clubs, associations and companies. RYA Certificated courses, or relaxing day sailing, taking a lunch stop at a waterside pub contact us with details of your requirements and we will put together a package to suit.
Powerboat Courses
As more and more people are purchasing power boats we have upgraded our Safety Boat to supply a higher standard of training. Everyone can feel safe and aware of what’s going on with their vessel. We have also changed the outlook of our powerboat courses to offer more individual tuition. This means more ‘hands on’ experience, and the freedom to take your course at times to suit you.
What to bring
You don’t need a lot of expensive specialist clothing to start sailing, but if you have your own wetsuit or wet weather gear by all means bring it with you. We will supply a wetsuit if required. We can also supply light waterproofs, but you will need to bring your own non-slip shoes, such as plimsolls or wetsuit boots. Bring a towel, a change of clothes, a hat and suncream are advisable in hot weather, and a packed lunch will be required for all-day activities.
